A large part of small-business owners think that online marketing is a good way to get new clients only for “interesting” businesses.

They think that social media marketing is not a good way to sell their stuff because their offer is “boring”. So how to use modern online marketing to sell “boring” stuff, such as…sanitary cabins?

The answer is content marketing and remarketing.

What does it mean? You have to create relevant content and target it to an exact group of potential clients. I will show you how to sell as a boring product as a sanitary cabin in few steps.

As first, how to create interesting content for such a boring product? How to interest potential customer to buy your stuff thanks to creative and interesting content? Think widely.

Blog

That’s standard in nowadays business circumstances. Your business has to have a blog with valuable content that’ll convert. How to write something about sanitary cabins that would be interesting for potential customers?

You don’t need to write exactly about your product. You should look at it widely. For example, write entertainment posts about the history of toilet, or even toilet paper. This kind of content has viral potential!

What is more, think about a group of people who can need your product in their work . In this case, real estate developers and architects are good exaples. Write for them about interesting toilet projects that might inspire them in their work.

Youtube

Don’t know how to use video content in boring business? Transform your blog posts into animations. That’s one of the options.

Show your product more precisely. You can make a video in already installed WC with your sanitary cabins. Show how it looks like “in practice”.

You have to know that your video might be shown on the first page of Google also. It’s a double win! Add a link to your website in description area and get more visitors.

Social media

You can use Facebook dark posts to create a highly targeted post. They will be displayed only to a specific group of audience, e.g. architects working in your city + 100 miles. That’s a huge opportunity for your business!

LinkedIn could be also a great place to meet professionals who might be interested in your content and knowledge. Be active and find your potential customers by ads or just by posting valuable content inside LinkedIn (Pulse).

Should you create an Instagram profile for your sanitary cabins business? Of course! Why? Because there you can find your potential customers — for instance, architects!

Remarketing

That’s the main and the most important point of the whole process.

What’s remarketing?

“Remarketing is a clever way to connect with visitors to your website who may not have made an immediate purchase or enquiry. It allows you to position targeted ads in front of a defined audience that had previously visited your website — as they browse elsewhere around the internet.”

So how does it work?

1. Create a valuable content on your site, that attract your potential customers,
2. Build your remarketing base of visitors on your website,
3. Use your database and remarketing technique for sending your ads through social media,

4. Sell your stuff!

That’s it! That’s how modern marketing works.

Conclusion.

That’s only a part of possibilities that small-business can use to get new clients through the internet and social media. What’s important — try something new! Don’t hesitate, because you can’t loose as much as you can get. In boring industries, you can easily stand out by using modern marketing methods.
